Anyone here been to a Tony Robbins seminar or an internet marketing seminar like David D's?
Is it just me or is the only reason these guys are rich is because they are telling others to get rich?
on the internet marketing side. People sign up for these seminars and basically fall for the tricks that they should be implementing themselves. If no one signed up for an internet marketing seminar, then David D wouldn't be rich. He then talks for the weekend basically about how he got you to sign up for seminar!
Do people really not get this? I think one of the worst things to do if you're starting a business is to try and copy what others do.
Seems to me that this is what its all about, shuffle things up if you want:
1.) Create a solution to a problem that really doesn't exist.
2.) Call yourself a guru
3.) Market the product online and get a bunch of affiliates who have a tall email list
4.) Grossly exaggerate the product and make it out to be the greatest thing ever
5.) Create a feeling of jealousy or "loss" on the potential consumer's behalf. If he or she doesn't buy the product, then he or she will miss out on SO much.
6.) Somehow capture the potential consumer's e-mail address by offering "free" but useless, irrelevant drivel
7.) Hype it up even more
8.) Make up $ figures and say that the product is worth $20,000 but you're only selling it for $3,000.
9.) Make it time-sensitive. "You MUST act NOW."
10.) Create a false 100% money back guarantee with ridiculous small print confusing language where no one will get their money back
11.) Launch product
12.) Profit

in the new country I am starting, infomarketers get executed by firing squad for manipulating desperate people and selling them bullshit.
the infomarketer formula is to read a bunch of books about a topic, then summarize it in an ebook and then focus on the sales copy.

I think that making money is one of the easiest things in the world ONCE you get rid of all that shit programming and bad ways of thinking that were pounded into your head since kindergarten. You spend 17 years in school, if you go to grade school, middle school, high school and four years of college. And god forbid that you actually question any of it!
Thats why people who do get rich or financially independent usually dont do it until their late 30s or mid 40s. The 17 years of terrible programming that the shitty education systems teaches you is balanced out with 17 years of seeing through the bullshit (if you see through it, because most dont)
I think school should just be eliminated all together. It "teaches", well rather forces down your throat primitive, out-dated, completely un-applicable, useless drivel.
I'm going through that process right now where I'm trying to get rid of all this retarded advice I got in college and especially high school. I knew it was wrong but never had a chance to debate...it was always "Detention!" or "Go to the main office". Because I questioned religion and why I couldnt drink soda at lunch? hahaha

Lets talk about making money. To me, the three "avenues" to making money have to be related to:
1) Sex
2) Money
3) Health
Anything that has to do with sex, the promise of sex or anything related to it is going to sell. It's as simple as that. Anything that has to do with building wealth or increasing your chances of making money will sell. Anything that has to do with fat loss and building muscle will sell.
The best thing I've ever read was some marketing blog that talked about creating a "fan base" following of 1,000 people. This is so true. Basically, you need 1,000 people who love what you say and are devote followers to easily become financially independent

4) Religion and Spirituality. I'd rather hang out with a pickup instructor than a new age fag. Erika is a great example of what happens when a bitch considers herself more spiritual and better than everyone else.

here you go again. obsessed with making money out of conning people.
clearly business success is not your first priority because anyone who ever succeeded will immediately tell you it's BY FAR EASIER to make money out of selling REAL value, not solutions to problems that don't exist, and so on.
seems to me that if it doesn't have a 'fuck people over' side to it, you just don't find it appealing. even if the prospects for money are much lower.
mind you the community which we all hate so much doesn't deal with a problem that 'doesn't exist'. it's just that most of the gurus offer bad solutions. and 95% of them hardly make money either, believe it or not.

Wrong, wrong and wrong
There is the
of problems. The people who make money in the "info product" world are selling solutions to products that dont exist and trust me, these guys are RAKING it in...

Bingo. And if you just copy from someone without their help/cpaching, then you could be somewhat successfull. Because you can steal clients/customers from the one you copy.
But these idiots don't copy, what they do is just doing what someone tells them to do, so they make sure that you don't steal clients from them and so that they (the coach) gets more money from it as well. Which is stupid, because if you want to be a businessmen, it's about stealing customers from competitors (people that offer the same thing as you), instead of being buddies and handing your competitors money.
What you should copy, if you want to be succesfull or at least have a change at it. Is to copy what the boss/head does, on you own. And try to steal clients from them. Not work with them, but copy them and steal their clients.
